The Chongqing Cultural Palace Grand Theater is located at No. 174 Zhongshan 2nd Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. It is one of Chongqing's three iconic buildings, as famous as the Chongqing People's Auditorium and Datianwan Gymnasium. It was first built in 1951, with the palace's name personally inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, who worked at the Southwest Bureau at the time.

The Cultural Palace covers 120 mu, with a usable area of over 30,000 square meters. In 2009, the palace underwent a comprehensive renovation, increasing its building area to over 50,000 square meters. The Chongqing Cultural Palace Grand Theatre has undergone another comprehensive upgrade. The stage lighting control system uses RGB intelligent network hybrid dimming cabinets, with a total of 288 control circuits in the silicon-controlled dimming/relay direct hybrid unit drawer module, as well as a decoding system compatible with sACN, ART-Net, and RGB-Net stage lighting network protocols, providing safer technical support for important performance events at the Cultural Palace Grand Theatre.
